My New years resolution is to finish episode 2, so it will be posted on January 3rd, 2011. No ifs ands or buts just whatever it is on that date will be on here, no matter what. I could post it today if I had to but now is not a good submission slot, anything non-holiday related has a greater chance of being flooded out so I'm waiting for January 3rd. Yay!

Episode 2 is complete. All Im missing right now are some critical audio files. Whether or not those get completed before the 20th isn't under my control necessarily. But regardless, the hardest part is done!!!!!

So I never completely abandoned the ATU project, though there hasn't been an update in nearly two years, I've worked on it little by little over the course of time, mostly writing and rewriting and also trying to figure out another approach to the animation. These days I find myself with lots of free time so I decided to dive back in, head first.
I'll start by giving a drop date. ATU ep. 2 will be posted 11/20/10. I mostly chose that date because I missed it last time in '08 and now I sorta want to get it right this time. I hope to have a little more dedication this round and I want the series to update reasonable but since this is just a hobby I cant guarantee it, lol. I have a few other plans for the series that I'll announcing on the 20th ,so check back.
And thank you to everyone who has stuck around after all this time. Episode 2 is coming very very soon.

Ok!
After all the drama and sleepless nights, Ive fixed and reposted ATU episode 1. heh.
The fix was pretty simple...I was reluctant to lower the resolution and sound but it had to be done for flash viewing. Next time Ill be more mindful at the beginning.
Stay tuned, episode 2 wont take me another 3 years.

Submitted ATU retake but it doesnt work...tested it on 2 computers, worked on one but not the other...I had to delete it. This really sucks because I was hoping to get it up here but it looks like I will have to post elsewhere :(
-The problem appears to be the server my flv was hosted on...there's not much I can do about that right now other than make this non-flash.
*UPDATE*
I havent totally given up on this yet. Currently working on re editing things so it will be a flash friendly presentation.

I think I figured out a way to fix my file size...but I need to test it to make sure things run smoothly...I wish dumping grounds actually existed...>.>

Argh! 11/20 is about to pass--
Im cutting it too close...it's almost 12:00am and I wont be able to uplaod yet....Probably sometime tomorrow when I figure out what to do...my file size is well over 2 gigs
(0_o')...so Im looking into different file formats...
optimization is not going to happen..
too many jpegs....
must ..get...sleep...

You've got to have the most patience in the world when working on an animation! Ofcourse I kinda knew this going in but still, I hope Im doing something new and great and not wasting a bunch of time. It's so easy to waste time when you don't have a deadline... this project has been floating around in my head for 3 years now, it's been on and off whenever there's free time. Most of the time has been spent on learning techniques and trying different approaches so everything comes out the way Ive planned. The storyline has had at least 4 major overhauls over this period of time as well. There have been many creative dry spells also, too many.
But anyways Im going to keep going! This will be made complete eventually. I just don't want to release something that Im not 100% proud of.
But anyways, Ive decided on a deadline:

Ok, so....
Im still working on ATU more often than not. I want to integrate some 3d stuffs in my flash productions from now on. The more I learn the more I want to use it. For anyone following my progress with this project Ive got a special goody for you! Here's a piece of concept artwork for my character design of Zanadine (pronounced ZanaDean). Zanadine is the Female protaginast in ATU. I dont think Ive ever told anyone the names of my characters so This is the first time and the first one released! Yay or nay?
